OM SAI RAM
WHY FEAR WHEN I AM HERE
Malaysia has some of the biggest and longest caves in the world, these caves are archaeological sites, while others are simply beautiful with stalagmites and stalactites with underground rivers. These caves are home to a wide variety of cave fauna such as bats, snakes, and invertebrates.
Perak has many cave temples such as Perak Tong, Sam Poh Tong, Lin Seng Tong, Quan Ying Tong, Kek Lok Tong established by early Taoist & Buddhist immigrants & travellers. Similarly to these cave temple, Saibaba Cave temple was initially a temple dedicated to Goddess Quan Yin prior being constructed for the Sai Devotees in the late 1970’s by the late Brother Philip Foo and family.
Brother Philip Foo initiated the project to construct the temple at Tambun after experiencing Bhagawan’s love and guidance. He traveled to Prashanthi Nilayam with the temple architecture plans and was called to the room by Saibaba. There they had a long discourse and SaiBaba blessed and signed the plans, thus the plans begun as envisioned by Saibaba.
Looking at the temple floorplan, one can see the shape of Shivlinga within it is 4 sections of halls with walls made from stalactites and stalagmites with Lord Vigneshwara located at the entrance separately. Standing at the entrance of the temple, one can experience the breathtaking formation of the cave and its natural surrounding of mountains, lake and underwater geothermal rivers.
